About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Earth City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue and track badges, and monitor activity to support smooth operations. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and clear communication with team members and site leaders. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access at employee and vehicle entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization, issuing temporary badges, and maintaining visitor and contractor logs.
  • Support gate and dock operations by confirming scheduled arrivals and departures, directing traffic flow as needed, and reporting irregular activity to site leadership and/or dispatch.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating timely updates to appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized entry, identify hazards, and report maintenance or operational concerns.
