Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Niskayuna, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. Your presence and professionalism will support a positive atmosphere for employees and visitors. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Requirements
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Must have five or more years of security-related experience.
- Must have two or more years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience or possess a college degree.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Monitor and control access to the manufacturing and industrial location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Document and report any observed irregularities, such as equipment malfunctions or unauthorized persons, following Allied Universal protocols.
- Support site-specific operations by maintaining awareness of surroundings and communicating any security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with emergency response activities in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.
