About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Brookhaven, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment. You will interact with team members and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license, and offers the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative and people-focused workplace.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Manage access control by verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the logistics and distribution location.
Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or activities.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and/or delivery personnel with security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for logistics and distribution environments.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter security-related threats and/or suspicious activity.
Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client representatives.
Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations and/or coordinating with emergency services.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and promote a secure environment within the logistics and distribution location.
