Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Mount Juliet, TN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. You will remain visible and approachable, supporting a welcoming environment for all. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- CPR and first aid are preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
- Monitor access control points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment within the location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and daily operations as required by Allied Universal and site procedures.
- Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or contractors while enforcing access control policies.
- Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and site representatives to support a secure and orderly environment within the tech, media, and telecom location.
