About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Rover Driver in Deerfield Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a residential community, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, greet residents and guests, and monitor activity to support a welcoming environment. You will communicate clearly, document incidents, and work as part of a team that puts people first and acts with integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or deliveries by following site-specific access control procedures, identification checks, and security-related protocols.
  • Control entry and exit at designated access points by verifying resident and visitor authorization, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining accurate logs of people, vehicles, and packages.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, intercoms, and other access control systems; report irregular activity and/or maintenance concerns through the proper channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with on-site staff and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, amenity spaces, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and document findings.
