About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Union City, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be 21 years of age or older.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to Allied Universal clients by carrying out site-specific, security-related procedures, access control policies, and/or emergency response activities at a food and beverage production and distribution location.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobbies by verifying identification, managing visitor and contractor sign-in, issuing temporary credentials when authorized, and directing traffic to designated areas.
  • Monitor and document inbound and outbound deliveries, trailers, and employee traffic, reporting irregular activity and/or policy exceptions to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, completing reports, and coordinating with authorized personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking lots, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or security-related concerns.
