About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Retail in Lacey, WA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail distribution location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises to help to deter unauthorized access.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and any unusual activity according to site protocols.
Work collaboratively with location staff and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure environment.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity within the retail distribution setting.
