Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control Reception in Fredericksburg, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances and verifying credentials, while providing exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with access control procedures by verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the healthcare location.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or security-related incidents.
• Provide customer service by answering questions and directing visitors within the location while adhering to site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter security-related issues.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities in daily reports as required by Allied Universal and site policies.
• Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including assisting with evacuations and/or following emergency procedures.
• Work collaboratively with staff and visitors to promote a secure environment within the healthcare setting.
