As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a high-technology aerospace and defense location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and document security-related events using a computer and/or tablet. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine rounds as assigned, and provide professional customer service and clear communication to employees and visitors. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and access control requirements at an aerospace and defense location.
• Control entry and exit at designated access points by verifying identification, checking credentials, issuing temporary badges when authorized, and maintaining visitor and/or vehicle logs.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems as assigned, and report irregular activity or policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents, access disputes, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to emergency response resources when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of checkpoints, buildings, and perimeter areas as assigned, noting unusual conditions and documenting observations per post orders.
