About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Overnights in Springfield, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage location where you will support access control by greeting employees and visitors, confirming credentials, managing check in and/or badge processes, and monitoring entry points and cameras for security-related concerns. You will complete routine patrols, document activity, and communicate clearly with site teams to help maintain smooth operations. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and/or beverage production and distribution location.
  • Control access at gates, guard shacks, and/or entry points by verifying identification, issuing badges and/or visitor passes, managing sign-in logs, and directing approved visitors to the correct areas.
  • Screen inbound and outbound vehicle and/or truck traffic by checking appointments, shipping and/or receiving documentation, and reporting irregularities according to site procedures to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Monitor alarms, access control systems, cameras, and door status, and communicate concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, yards, and perimeter areas as assigned, documenting observations and reporting maintenance hazards, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity.
