About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Monitor in Parkland, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor entrances and patrol residential areas to help deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence for residents and guests. You will support a secure environment through routine patrols, visible presence, and exceptional customer service, all while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and verify credentials of individuals entering the residential community.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential property and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns.
Document and report any suspicious activities, security-related incidents, or maintenance issues observed during patrols.
Assist residents and visitors with directions and general information about the location as needed.
Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and site management to address security-related needs and concerns.
