In this access control role, you will monitor entrances, check credentials, and conduct routine patrols. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Monitor access points to help control entry and exit of personnel, residents, and visitors at the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with property management and/or residents to address concerns and provide information as needed.
  • Maintain a visible presence at access points and throughout the location to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a secure environment.
