Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control Highrise in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As a Screener at a premier hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for guests, staff, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
CPR or First Aid certification is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the hotel and resort location.
Screen individuals and/or belongings entering the premises to help to deter prohibited items or activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and client guidelines.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of screening activities, incidents, and observations as required.
Communicate professionally with guests, staff, and emergency personnel as needed.
Support emergency response activities and assist with evacuations or other site-specific protocols when appropriate.
