Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
Control access at assigned entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing authorized personnel, contractors, and deliveries to the appropriate areas.
Monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic through gates and checkpoints, help to deter unauthorized entry, and report access issues per site procedures.
Conduct package, badge, and/or vehicle inspections as required by site policy, documenting findings and escalating concerns to supervision.
Operate access control systems, CCTV, radios, and telephones; maintain situational awareness and communicate updates to site contacts and Allied Universal management.
Maintain accurate logs of visitor activity, contractor check-in and/or check-out, deliveries, and unusual events in accordance with site requirements.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiating notifications and coordinating with site personnel as directed.
Support emergency procedures such as evacuations, shelter-in-place, and accountability processes when directed by site leadership and/or post orders.
Complete written reports for incidents, alarms, and policy violations, providing clear details and timely follow-up.
Provide directions and general assistance to employees and visitors while maintaining a professional presence and adhering to post orders and site policies.
