As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading Tech, Media, and Telecom location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents through routine patrols and a strong visible presence. You will interact with a diverse group of people, providing outstanding customer service and communication, all while upholding our core values of teamwork, integrity, and innovation in a dynamic work environment.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry in accordance with site-specific procedures.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with inquiries and following established protocols.
Carry out security-related procedures and adhere to site-specific policies relevant to a technology, media, or telecom environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Document and report security-related incidents or irregularities according to Allied Universal and client guidelines.
Support emergency response activities as directed, following established procedures for the site.
Collaborate with team members and site management to maintain a secure and welcoming environment for all occupants.
