As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading Tech, Media, and Telecom location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents through routine patrols and a strong visible presence. You will interact with a diverse group of people, providing outstanding customer service and communication, all while upholding our core values of teamwork, integrity, and innovation in a dynamic work environment.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry in accordance with site-specific procedures.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with inquiries and following established protocols.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and adhere to site-specific policies relevant to a technology, media, or telecom environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Document and report security-related incidents or irregularities according to Allied Universal and client guidelines.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, following established procedures for the site.
  • Collaborate with team members and site management to maintain a secure and welcoming environment for all occupants.
