Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control Gate in Beaumont, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and/or petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, support badging, and monitor activity to help reduce security-related concerns. You will remain visible, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and provide customer service while following site procedures. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Have a TSA issued TWIC.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to client personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor and contractor check-in and/or check-out, issuing temporary credentials per site policy, and maintaining accurate access logs.
  • Monitor gates, doors, and access control systems, reporting irregularities and/or equipment issues according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications and documentation in line with site requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, process areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
