As an Access Control Officer in a residential community, you will monitor entrances, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service to residents and guests. Your presence will contribute to a welcoming environment, and you will play a key role in maintaining order at the location. This position requires driving responsibilities. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required as per client request.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access to the residential community.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential property and perimeter to observe and report any security-related concerns.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate activity logs and incident reports as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, guests, staff, and emergency responders as needed.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific procedures, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
