About The Position
As a Security Officer - Gate Access Control in Luckey, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Security Officer, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, log visitors and vehicles, and communicate clearly with staff and contractors. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying identification, and managing entry and exit at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Monitor access points, gates, and assigned systems to help to deter unauthorized entry, theft, and other security-related incidents, and escalate concerns per post orders.
- Maintain accurate security-related logs and reports, including visitor and vehicle activity, badge and key control, and incident documentation as required by site policy.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership, emergency services, and/or Allied Universal supervision when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, including production areas, warehouses, and the perimeter, noting hazards, damage, and unusual conditions and reporting them through approved channels.
