As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage site entry points, greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, and maintain access logs. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols as needed, and respond to security-related concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. Requirements

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and access control requirements at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, authorizations, and appointments; issue visitor credentials and provide directions as needed.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, radios, and access control systems; document unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized entry or restricted-area access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify site contacts and emergency services per post orders and assist with scene management until relieved.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas including production-adjacent zones, parking areas, and perimeter lines; complete detailed patrol and incident reports per site requirements.
