About The Position
As a Security Officer - Access Control Gate in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal at a premier residential location as an Access Control Officer, where you will greet residents and guests, verify credentials, manage gate entry, and maintain clear logs and communication. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Control access at community entry points by verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor passes and/or credentials, and documenting entries and exits in accordance with site guidelines.
- Monitor gates, doors, and other access points through visual observation and/or approved systems, and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy issues to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and/or coordinating with local responders when required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards and/or unusual conditions.
