About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Gate in Conley, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will focus on access control by greeting drivers and visitors, verifying credentials, managing entry and exit points, and documenting activity. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to requests with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, drivers, and associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Operate an access control post by greeting entrants, verifying identification and/or delivery documentation, issuing visitor badges, and documenting entries and exits in logs or electronic systems.
  • Coordinate with site contacts to confirm appointments and dock access, help to manage gate traffic flow, and direct drivers to designated check-in, staging, and parking areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations per post orders.
  • Perform required inspections of vehicles, trailers, and/or packages as directed by post orders, and complete clear, timely reports and incident documentation.
