About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Gate in New Albany, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting regular patrols. You will remain visible throughout the site, support a secure environment, and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Applicants should be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain an orderly environment within the manufacturing and industrial location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter potential issues and identify any irregularities.
Interact professionally with site personnel, visitors, and contractors to communicate security-related procedures and provide assistance as needed.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities and incident reports according to company and client requirements.
