About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Gate in Ottawa, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with inquiries related to access control and site protocols.
Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies for the manufacturing and industrial environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
Document and report any irregularities, security-related incidents, or breaches of procedures according to Allied Universal and client site guidelines.
Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations and/or lockdowns as directed.
Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal supervisors to address security-related concerns and maintain a secure environment.
