As a Security Officer - Access Control Gate in Monroe, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- CPR or first aid certification is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Primarily driving post is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
- Monitor and control access to the facility, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors as required by site protocols.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Observe and report any unusual conditions, hazards, or potential security-related concerns to appropriate Allied Universal personnel and site management.
- Maintain accurate records of access control activities, visitor logs, and incident reports as required by the site.
- Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and contractors to address inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
