As a Security Officer - Access Control Gate in Monroe, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional at this manufacturing and industrial location, you will focus on access control, monitoring entrances and exits, and conducting routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR or first aid certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Primarily driving post is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Monitor and control access to the facility, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors as required by site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any unusual conditions, hazards, or potential security-related concerns to appropriate Allied Universal personnel and site management.
  • Maintain accurate records of access control activities, visitor logs, and incident reports as required by the site.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and contractors to address inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
