About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Entry in Saint Pauls, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment. You will interact with employees and visitors, conduct routine patrols, and manage access control systems. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry at the location.
Verify identification and credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors in accordance with site-specific policies.
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and responding to inquiries.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to observe and report on any unusual activity.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site procedures.
Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, including guiding individuals to designated areas or providing information to first responders.
