About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Entry in Saint Pauls, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment. You will interact with employees and visitors, conduct routine patrols, and manage access control systems. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry at the location.
  • Verify identification and credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and responding to inquiries.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to observe and report on any unusual activity.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site procedures.
  • Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, including guiding individuals to designated areas or providing information to first responders.
