Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, students, faculty, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the education location.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, and control entry and exit to help to deter unauthorized access to campus buildings and restricted areas.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols around campus grounds and building perimeters to help to deter security-related incidents.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site procedures.
Work collaboratively with campus staff and/or law enforcement as needed during emergencies or incidents.
Remain alert and attentive to surroundings to help to deter and report suspicious activities or persons on campus.
