As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, log visitors and deliveries, and support gatehouse communications with site teams. You will perform security-related checks, respond to incidents, and help maintain orderly site flow while delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to onsite personnel, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Monitor and control access through gates and entry points by verifying identification and authorization, issuing and collecting badges, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing traffic flow in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating updates to site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of operational areas, administrative spaces, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized access and/or unusual activity, documenting observations per policy.
  • Perform vehicle and delivery screening as required, including checking documentation, observing restricted items guidance, and reporting discrepancies through established security-related reporting channels.
