About The Position
As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Elizabethtown, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced automotive manufacturing location where you will manage access control, verify credentials, log visitors and vehicles, and support a smooth flow at entry points. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver professional customer service through clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, backed by a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and always acts with integrity.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive manufacturing and warehouse location.
- Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, directing deliveries to appropriate receiving areas, and maintaining entry and exit documentation.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed and completing required reports.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, staging yards, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access control systems, cameras, and alarm panels as assigned, and communicate observations to management and/or Allied Universal supervision in accordance with post orders.
