About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Beatrice, NE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced manufacturing location where you will manage access control, check credentials and badges, and monitor entry points to help support site rules and help to deter security-related incidents. You will stay visible, conduct routine patrols, document activity using a computer or tablet, and deliver helpful customer service with clear communication. This is a driving role requiring a valid driver’s license per AU Driver Policy Requirements, supported by teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a manufacturing and industrial location by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Control entry and exit for employees, contractors, and visitors by verifying identification, issuing temporary credentials as directed, maintaining visitor logs, and directing guests to designated check-in areas.
• Manage gate and vehicle access by confirming delivery and pickup information, coordinating with site contacts for authorization, and monitoring inbound and outbound traffic flow to help support orderly operations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, document actions taken, and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as required by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter zones, and complete security-related reports and logs in a timely manner.
