About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Deer Park, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location where you will manage access control, verify credentials, and help maintain orderly entry for employees, contractors, and visitors. You will stay visible at key checkpoints, document activity using a computer and/or tablet, and provide professional customer service and communication. This is a driving post, supporting patrol-style checks and response across the site as needed, while acting with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Control access at gates and/or entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor check-in and/or check-out, issuing temporary credentials per site policy, and maintaining required logs and documentation.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound vehicle and/or pedestrian traffic, coordinate with site personnel for authorized entries, and help to deter unauthorized access through consistent access control practices.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting events, and supporting on-site response procedures as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, process areas, and the perimeter, noting unusual conditions and reporting maintenance and/or security-related concerns per post orders.
