About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Longwood, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced automotive location where you will help manage access control, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor entry points and alarm activity. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver customer service through clear communication and teamwork. This is a driving post, requiring a valid drivers license, and offers a chance to support a caring, agile, and integrity-driven culture.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive location.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, directing authorized traffic flow, and documenting entries and exits per site procedures.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems, and report irregular activity to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and completing required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
