Requirements

At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience is required.
At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
Graduation from a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required.
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A corrections officer license is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Assist with access control procedures to help to deter unauthorized entry to the transportation facility.
Monitor entry and exit points to confirm that only authorized personnel and vehicles are granted access.
Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the transportation location, including the perimeter and operational areas, to observe for unusual or suspicious activities.
Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities, access control events, and any incidents encountered during the shift.
Collaborate with transportation staff and local authorities as needed to support access control and security-related operations.
Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines for handling security-related equipment and reporting procedures.
