About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Lakewood, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet drivers and employees, verify credentials, manage gate entry and visitor logs, and support shipping and receiving flow. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and communicate clearly with site teams to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • At least 1+ years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, drivers, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at gates and/or entrances by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing sign-in logs, and directing deliveries to designated docks or staging areas.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems; report irregular activity, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, documenting actions taken, and supporting arrival of emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, warehouse areas, trailer yards, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or damage to property. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
