About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Desk in Elm Grove, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will manage entries and exits, verify credentials, monitor cameras and alarm panels, and document activity to support security-related operations. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate clearly with drivers, employees, and visitors, and respond to incidents as they arise. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be 21 or more years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification, processing sign-in and/or sign-out, issuing visitor credentials, and directing traffic flow for pedestrian and vehicle access.
  • Screen inbound and outbound activity by checking deliveries, trailer movements, and shipping or receiving documentation as required by post orders, helping to deter unauthorized access and/or loss.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and emergency services as directed.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs of access activity, incidents, and unusual conditions, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site management.
