As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will support access control by verifying credentials, issuing badges, and tracking visitor and vendor activity using computer and/or tablet tools. You will complete routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver professional customer service through clear communication and quick response. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Having access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Having customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as required.
  • Control access to the facility by verifying identification, processing visitor and contractor check-in and/or check-out, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and directing authorized personnel to the appropriate areas.
  • Monitor entry and exit points including gates, dock doors, and receiving areas, helping to deter unauthorized access and/or loitering and reporting irregular activity per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or emergency services and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the building, yard, and perimeter, inspecting for unsecured doors, damaged fencing, and/or unusual conditions, and completing required reports and logs.
