Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control Desk in Plano, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents at a financial institution by monitoring entrances, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and communication. This post includes driving responsibilities in accordance with company policy. Requirements

A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the location.
Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering restricted areas, following site-specific protocols.
Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and/or contractors with access-related inquiries and procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities.
Maintain accurate logs and records of access control activities and incidents as required by site policies.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
