Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials for employees, visitors, and contractors in accordance with established protocols.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report any unusual activity.
Communicate with site management and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, issues, and observations related to security-related matters.
Maintain accurate records and logs of access control activities, incidents, and other relevant information as required by site procedures.
Support emergency response activities by following established protocols and assisting with evacuations or lockdown procedures if necessary.
