As a Security Officer - Access Control Banking in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances and exits and conducting routine patrols at a financial institution location. You will provide outstanding customer service, maintain a visible presence, and assist with maintaining a secure environment for clients and visitors. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Monitor and control access to the premises, verifying identification and credentials for all individuals entering or exiting the location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related concerns. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site-specific requirements.
Collaborate with site staff and law enforcement as required to address security-related issues within the financial institution environment.
