About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Banking Center in Totowa, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Requirements

Have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and manage access control systems to help to deter unauthorized entry to the location.
Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises, maintaining compliance with site-specific policies.
Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and/or contractors with access-related inquiries and procedures.
Respond to incidents and security-related situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as needed according to protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the business and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and report irregularities.
Document and report access control violations, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences in accordance with Allied Universal and client procedures.
Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate for the location, following established protocols.
