You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet while delivering strong customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while performing access control duties at an automotive manufacturing and/or corporate location, following site-specific policies and security-related procedures.
• Control entry and exit for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors by checking identification, issuing temporary credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing traffic to approved areas.
• Monitor gates, doors, and/or access points, operate access control systems, and report irregular activity that may help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, parking lots, and perimeter routes, documenting observations and reporting maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
