About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control and Patrol Driver in Manchester, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food Processing Plants, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a Food Processing Plant, you will support access control by verifying credentials, issuing badges, and monitoring entry points while delivering strong customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, with mobile patrols to help spot and report security-related concerns, assist guests and team members, and keep operations running smoothly through teamwork, reliability, and integrity.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests and tenants by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Manage access control by monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor directions, and documenting entries and exits per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns to site management and Allied Universal supervision as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, back-of-house areas, and the exterior perimeter as assigned. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Assist with security-related incident documentation, including completing reports, maintaining required logs, and communicating updates during shift turnover.
