As a Security Officer Access Badge Driver in Deer Park, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a professional, welcoming experience. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. You will help with patrols, remain visible to help discourage incidents, and deliver security-related service with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity in a people-first culture.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge and credential checks, and security-related policies at an industrial location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, screen authorized personnel and vehicles, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, control rooms, and other sensitive locations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and support emergency response activities in accordance with post orders and location protocols.
  • Document visitor activity, deliveries, and access-related incidents with accuracy, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, gates, and surrounding areas to identify unusual conditions, report hazards, and support security-related operations.
