Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify any potential issues.
- Monitor the premises for unusual behavior and report any security-related incidents or hazards according to established protocols.
- Communicate and collaborate with campus staff, students, and/or visitors while maintaining a professional presence.
- Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner as directed by Allied Universal policies.
- Assist in access control by observing entry and exit points and verifying credentials as appropriate for the location.
