About The Position

Join our team as a Security Monitor and use your expertise in criminal justice and safety to secure and aid the Community Justice Support Center in Quincy, Ma. This role is temporary with the potential to be temp - perm. What You Will Be Doing to Make a Difference... Provide Security for the Center Ensure the Center remains free of Contraband with the use of metal detection wands and other security devices Confiscate and securely store confiscated contraband Regularly patrol interior and exterior of the Center Ensure that center participants remain in the center at all times that they are required to be at the center or involved with center activities Maintain a safe environment at the center; resolve conflicts as necessary We are a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program! Requirements

  • Female candidates strongly encouraged to apply to aid in gender specific drug testing and searches
  • Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, Counseling, Human Services, Psychology, Social Work or related field with at least 1 year of experience OR
  • High School Diploma with at five (5) years of security/safety experience
  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • Adequate Background checks (including CORI/SORI) and reference check as required by program

Responsibilities

  • Provide Security for the Center
  • Ensure the Center remains free of Contraband with the use of metal detection wands and other security devices
