About The Position

We provide vital services including patient services, environmental services, food, security, help desk, and more. THE POSITION Lead mobilisation of security operations, including procedures, training, and scenario testing during commissioning. Oversee day‑to‑day security service delivery, ensuring compliance with contractual KPIs, legislation, and hospital standards. Build strong working relationships with Peninsula Health, local emergency services, and key site stakeholders. Recruit, train, roster, and lead a high‑performing, professional security team. Provide strategic oversight of security practices, assess risks, and drive continuous improvement. Implement and manage security technologies (CCTV, access control, alarms) and ensure accurate operational reporting. Act as the primary escalation point for security issues, fostering a culture of safety, responsiveness, and service excellence. Represent security services at governance and stakeholder meetings, ensuring alignment with hospital operations. Manage team performance, including coaching, behaviour management, and adherence to IR requirements. Maintain strong on‑site leadership visibility, championing a proactive, safety-first culture. THE PERSON Extensive experience managing large‑scale security operations in healthcare, public services, or critical infrastructure. Strong understanding of Prevention and Management of Occupational Violence and Aggression (OVA). Demonstrated ability to manage compliance with contractual KPIs, regulations, and service standards. Skilled stakeholder manager with experience engaging clients, government bodies, and emergency services. Proven leadership in recruiting, training, and developing high‑performing teams with IR compliance. Expertise in risk assessment, incident response, and strategic security planning. Proficient in security technologies (CCTV, access control, alarms) and operational reporting systems. Highly experienced in compliance documentation, incident reporting, and continuous improvement. Holds appropriate security license's. First Aid certification. Valid Driver’s License. Full work rights required Valid National Police Clearance Covid Vaccination Serology (signed by GP) Flu vaccination
