About The Position

Cherokee Casino Ramona is seeking a Security Manager to join our growing team. The Security Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of security operations across assigned properties. This role develops and implements security strategies, coordinates with internal departments and external law enforcement agencies, and ensures compliance with regulatory and safety standards. The position requires strong leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to respond effectively to incidents and emergencies in a dynamic environment. NOTE: This job is a safety-sensitive position subject to drug testing requirements. A positive drug test will result in a job offer being rescinded or, for active employees, termination, even if they test positive for marijuana and have a valid medical marijuana license.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with four (4) years of security experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • CPR certification required
  • State of Oklahoma CLEET certification (reserve or full-time law enforcement) required within six months of employment
  • Working knowledge of firearms, defensive tactics, and surveillance systems, including chain-of-evidence procedures
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment, including appropriate use-of-force decisions
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required gaming authority licensing
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Capability to work in office and casino environments, including exposure to second-hand smoke and noise, and lift up to 25 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the integrity and effectiveness of CNE security operations through continuous evaluation and improvement
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement security initiatives, protocols, and standard operating procedures
  • Assign work, set priorities, and supervise departmental staff, including input on hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions
  • Coordinate security programs with internal departments and external agencies
  • Maintain the highest standards of guest service at all times
  • Create, manage, and monitor the departmental budget
  • Establish and measure key performance goals for operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and service standards
  • Evaluate and respond to incidents; act calmly and decisively during emergencies, including performing CPR and first aid when required
  • Coordinate onsite investigations and collaborate with law enforcement as necessary
  • Maintain training materials and ensure procedures comply with state and local regulations
  • Utilize computerized report management systems (I-View) for documentation and reporting
