About The Position

Plan and direct the operations of the Security division to foster and ensure a safe, secure workplace. Maintain working relationships with Security division staff, employees and administration to provide effective communication related to security. In addition, the Manager may be asked to oversee peripheral employees who work in collaboration and corporation with the Security Team(s). Presbyterian is seeking an experienced Security Operations Manager to lead the daily operations of our healthcare security department, ensuring a safe, secure, and compliant environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This role oversees security staffing, supervises security officers and supervisors, manages training and onboarding, and ensures all security equipment and emergency communication systems remain fully operational. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership in performance management, regulatory compliance (including JCAHO, CMS, and OSHA), and workplace violence prevention, along with the ability to analyze security data, prepare incident reports, and support continuous improvement of the security program. Responsibilities include participating in construction and renovation planning, assisting with safety and infection control initiatives, responding to emergencies, and collaborating on budget development and departmental strategy. (This differential may be adjusted or discontinued based on business requirements.)

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
  • Eight to ten years documented Healthcare Security or other related Security experience with three to five years documented supervisor experience preferable in healthcare.
  • LEOSA certification required at time of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree in Criminal Justice or closely related field preferred.
  • Specialized training and certification as a Security Officer by a nationally accreditation organization preferred.
