About The Position

The Security Manager willassist the Director in managing the Athey Creek Church security department. This individual is responsible for overseeing the management and operations of the Athey Creek facilities and ensuring the safety and security of church staff, volunteers, and guests.

Requirements

  • Fulfill the character qualifications of a deacon as taught in the Scriptures
  • Possess qualities of a reliable leader who can shepherd and disciple, communicate clearly with others, effectively lead teams, and has strong organizational skills
  • Ability to think quickly and react/troubleshoot appropriately in high-stress situations
  • Proven ability to manage projects from beginning to end
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Armed Security, Law Enforcement or Military Police Operations
  • DPSST Unarmed and Armed certified
  • 1 year minimum active ACC Security Team experience, or related experience accepted by the Director

Responsibilities

  • Participate in weekly staff meetings and special events as needed
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Security Team
  • Support onboarding and training of new security staff members
  • Promote the development of employee excellence through coaching, one-on-one meetings, performance feedback and continued education
  • Approve and publish weekly work schedules and assign other administrative tasks as needed
  • Ensure the team strives to implement the highest quality, excellent and professionalism in alignment with ACC’s vision and values
  • Operate as security staff as needed
  • Manage and oversee event procedures
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of all ACC location’s existing security measures, identify potential vulnerabilities, identify crime trends, or other risks, and provide recommendations to the Director of Security and/or relevant staff
  • Develop, manage and maintain facility safety and security procedures
  • Maintain DPSST Unarmed and Armed Security Professional Certification
  • Achieve and maintain ACC Officer Armed status and Physical requirements for day to day operations
  • Maintain physical fitness standards
  • Engage in regular training and maintain standards as set by Athey Creek
  • Follow all security policies, including standards for use of force, de-escalation, and reporting incidents promptly
  • Work as a team with ACC staff to edify and support the team members, including cross-department collaboration
  • All other duties as assigned
