The Security Lead takes a strategic approach to protection at our offices, at live shows and at off-property events. As a Security Lead, you would advise a well-trained, cohesive team that provides 24/7 protection to our premises, co-workers and guests at our buildings and at special events! We have responsibility for day-to-day security and content protection initiatives and processes. What You Will Do… Evaluate the daily threat assessment for all Walt Disney Company personnel and premises, and discuss with staff at roll-call. Lead all aspects of all criminal investigations, including liaison with local law enforcement and writing/reviewing all incident management system reports. Assist with departmental invoicing. Build and implement security plans and outside vendors. Diffuse and de-escalate tense situations with partners. Rapidly re-deploy your security assets on a fluid and respond to medical or fire incidents, and work directly with local first responders. Assist private security details for celebrities, sports stars, politicians and special dignitaries and supervise security for high-level Disney executives. Work closely with legal/HR/ER departments on ongoing cases. Plan ongoing staff training in areas such as CPR, AED, Imminent Threat, and First Aid. Have deep knowledge of all premises, security systems and repair/maintenance protocols. Here are the skills you will need to be successful in this role… 10 years or more of corporate security, military, federal, state or local law enforcement experience. Excellent interpersonal skills, including proficient written and spoken English, and strong command of basic English grammar. Confirmed leadership skills, and ability to take command and make quick decisions under pressure. Experience collaborating with city, state and federal first responders. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Physical ability to cover all aspects of the job and be outside in all weather; and Flexible workdays/hours (this is a “shift work” role) and ability to work some overtime.
