As an Allied Universal Security Officer assigned to an access control post at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet drivers and team members, manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, and maintain accurate logs. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and requests with clear communication. Bring teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

  • Provide client-required proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing visitor passes, maintaining visitor and vehicle logs, and directing traffic flow at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems, reporting irregular activity and/or equipment concerns per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of docks, yards, parking areas, and building perimeter, documenting observations and submitting reports per site requirements.
